Who I am
My name is Andrea Furlan, I am an agronomist, born in 1971 in Bologna - Italy.
I've been exploring agriculture and the environment since high school. After gaining experience as a freelancer and researcher, I've always worked on the EU Common Agricultural Policy, for twelve years at the Emilia-Romagna Region and since 2013 at the European Commission.
My paths led me to Brussels, a city that inspires many of my stories for its international community and the professional and cultural opportunities it constantly offers.
I continue to visit Bologna and Romagna because we should never forget our roots. Casola Valsenio, in the Ravenna hills, is where I spend much of my free time, a town full of history and stories, which I try to absorb and convey in my writing.
I've always been passionate about writing, and in 2025 I created this website where I collect my stories, which have been published online, at art exhibitions, and in anthologies.
